Pahichan KYC App

I led full-stack development of Pahichan, a data re-engineering and KYC system built for CDS and Clearing Ltd. (CDSC) — Nepal's central depository for dematerialized securities, promoted by NEPSE. Investors could hold multiple Beneficiary Owner IDs (BOIDs) across different depository participants with no way to identify them as the same person. Pahichan deduplicates investors across BOIDs using identity attributes (name, father's/grandfather's name, citizenship number, PAN, address), assigns each a single unique investor ID, and lets investors or depository participants submit KYC updates and supporting documents through a maker-checker verification workflow. It captures photo, signature, and fingerprint biometrics, issues an ID card with a 3D barcode, and syncs the unique-ID-to-BOID mapping back to NEPSE's clearing and settlement system and the "Mero Share" application via web services. Built with Java/Groovy on Grails.
